The Chairman of the International Affairs and CIS
Relations Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly
of Belarus participates in the Fourth Europe-Ukraine Forum
that is being held on 26-28 April 2010 in Kyiv.
The Parties focused their attention on the priority areas of the Ukrainian-Belarusian relations. The parliament members called for their enhancement on the grounds of mutually beneficial cooperation and mutual interest in the development of the parliamentary constituent of the international cooperation in the framework of the parliamentary cooperation groups under the legislative bodies of both countries and the International Commission on Cooperation between The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
Mr Bilorus called for extending relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus, dwelled upon the development of trade-economic relations, scientific cooperation, environmental protection, science, education, etc.
Mr Maskevich declared that the Republic of Belarus
had always supported
cooperation between Ukraine
and Belarus.
The Parties also discussed the upcoming visit of the deputy delegation of the Council of Republic of Belarus headed by Mr Boris Batura, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, scheduled for the end of May 2010.
